God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

God rest ye merry, gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember, Christ, our Saviour
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

From God our Heavenly Father
A blessed Angel came;
And unto certain Shepherds
Brought tidings of the same:
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by Name.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

And when they came to Bethlehem
Where our dear Saviour lay,
They found Him in a manger,
Where oxen feed on hay;
His Mother Mary kneeling down,
Unto the Lord did pray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Now to the Lord sing praises,
All you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas
All other doth deface.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

The First Noel

The first Noel the angel did say
Was to certain poor shepards in fields as they lay:
In fields where they lay a keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night that was so deep.
Noel Noel Noel Noel
Born is the King of Israel.

They looked up and saw a star
Shining in the east beyond them far:
And to the earth it gave great light
And so it continued both day and night.
Noel Noel Noel Noel
Born is the King of Israel.

And by the light of that same star
Three wise men came from the country far;
To seek for a King was their intent,
And to follow the star wherever it went.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,
Born is the King of Israel.

This star drew nigh to the north-west;
O'er Bethlehem it took it's rest,
And there it did both stop and stay,
Right over the place where Jesus lay.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,
Born is the King of Israel.

Then entered in those wise men three,
Fell reverently upon their knee,
And offered there in his presence
Their gold and myrrh and frankincense.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,
Born is the kind of Israel.

Then let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord,
That hath made heaven and earth of nought,
And with his blood mankind has bought.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,
Born is the King of Israel

Mary Did You Know

Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

The blind will see, the deaf will hear and the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb.

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the great I am.

Christmas Shoes

It was almost Christmas time, there I stood in another line
Tryin' to buy that last gift or two, not really in the Christmas mood
Standing right in front of me was a little boy waiting anxiously
Pacing 'round like little boys do
And in his hands he held a pair of shoes

His clothes were worn and old, he was dirty from head to toe
And when it came his time to pay
I couldn't believe what I heard him say

Chorus:
Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight

He counted pennies for what seemed like years
Then the cashier said, "Son, there's not enough here"
He searched his pockets frantically
Then he turned and he looked at me
He said Mama made Christmas good at our house
Though most years she just did without
Tell me Sir, what am I going to do,
Somehow I've got to buy her these Christmas shoes

So I laid the money down, I just had to help him out
I'll never forget the look on his face when he said
Mama's gonna look so great

Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight

Bridge:
I knew I'd caught a glimpse of heaven's love
As he thanked me and ran out
I knew that God had sent that little boy
To remind me just what Christmas is all about

Somebody Loves Me

I’m in love with my Savior and He’s in love with me.
He is with me from day to day, what a friend is He!
Watches over me while I sleep, hears me when I pray.
I am happy as I can be, and I now can say:

Chorus:
Somebody loves me, answers my prayers.
I love Somebody, I know He cares.
Somebody tells me not to repine.
That Somebody is Jesus, and I know He’s mine.

You’ll be happy if you will let Jesus have His way.
He has work for us all to do every passing day.
Feed the hungry and cheer the sad, for the sinner pray.
You’ll have joy that you never had, and you then can say:

Chorus:
Somebody loves me, answers my prayers.
I love Somebody, I know He cares.
Somebody tells me not to repine.
That Somebody is Jesus, and I know He’s mine.

Then, at last when our work is done, He will call us home.
To a mansion He has prepared, nevermore to roam.
We’ll sit down by the riverside, cares all passed away.
With never a pain to bear, what a happy day!

Chorus:
Somebody loves me, answers my prayers.
I love Somebody, I know He cares.
Somebody tells me not to repine.
That Somebody is Jesus, and I know He’s mine.
That Somebody is Jesus, and I know He's mine.

The Shepherd's Point of View

You are standing on the mountain

Holding to the Shepherd's hand,

The valley you just came through
Was hard to understand.
Then the Shepherd draws you closer,
There's something He wants you to see,
And He points back to the valley
And unfolds its mysteries.

As the eagles soar around you

And you look back on where you've been,
One by one He answers questions
That He did not answer then.
He now shows you the danger
Of going your own way
All those roads you thought were better
Would have led your soul astray.

He reminds you of that moment

When you could not make it through.
Now you see one set of footprints
Where He reached down and carried you.
As your tears fall on His shoulder,
And you thank Him for His love,
He says, "Child, I knew that one day,
You'd see this valley from above."

Things look different on the mountain

From the Shepherd's point of view
Standing high above the trial
That He brought you safely through.
All the valley's disappointments
Will never look the same to you
For things look different on the mountain

From the Shepherd's point of view.

Till The Storm Passes By

Out on the water, the storm raging high,
 the waters around them,  troubled their mind,
With fear in their heart,  they thought they might die,
they failed to remember, the master was nigh.

He spoke the word;  the winds all stood still,
even the waters, obeyed his will.
He'll calmed their storms, just like he will mine,
If i'll just remember, he lives deep inside.

(chorus)
Why should i worry, why should I fear,
When this very same Jesus, he is always so near.
He lives in my heart, he hears when I cry;
I'll call on the master till the storm passes by.

I read in the bible, how he walked with them,
 brought light to the darkness, when the way grew dim,
How Great it would be, to have his step leading mine,
to walk with the master, all of the time.

But then trouble came, death was so nigh,
they searched for the master, hoping he'd get there on time.
So when I'm in trouble, my bodies in pain,
All i have to do, is call on his name.

He Saw It All

I was working in town one afternoon
Attending some business affairs
I heard a commotion a couple streets over
And wondered whats happening there
A young man was running from in that direction
and stopped just to catch his breath

I asked him to please tell me what was the hurry
He smiled up at me and he said
I was trying to catch the crippled man,
Did he run past this way
He was rushing home to tell everyone
What Jesus did today
And the mute man was telling myself
And the deaf girl He's leaving to
Answer God's call

It's hard to believe but if you don't trust me
Ask the blind man, he saw it all
Ask the blind man, he saw it all

My friend if the troubles and burdens you carry
Are heavy and dragging you down
And you've tried everything
You can possibly think of
But there's no relief to be found

That very same Jesus that altered the future
Of the blind man, the deaf and the lame
He's still reaching out
In your hour of trouble
One touch and you're never be the same

You'll be trying to catch the crippled man
Did he run past this way
He was rushing home to tell everyone
What Jesus did today
And the mute man was telling myself
And the deaf girl He's leaving to
Answer God's call
It's hard to believe but if you don't trust me
Ask the blind man he saw it all
Ask the blind man he saw it all

Ask the blind man he saw it all

Press On

Remember Paul and Silas,
Bound in stocks and chains
Yet they sang a song of joy
In the midst of their pain
There was Daniel in the lion's den
The Hebrews in the fire
They all stood strong and suffered long
They trusted in God's power

It's in the midnight hour
When you're hanging by a thread
And you've cried all your tears
In all the prayers you've said
That's when Jesus comes a runnin'
And he takes you by the hand
Just hold on you can make it
Press on; morning's coming,
Press on.

Now if your hearts been broken
Like a shattered piece of glass
And you wonder if the pain you feel
Is ever gonna pass
And when the darkness surrounds you
It might seem to have no end
Just keep holding on; it won't be long
And you'll see the sun again.

It's in the midnight hour
When you're hanging by a thread
And you've cried all your tears
In all the prayers you've said
That's when Jesus comes a runnin'
And he takes you by the hand
Just hold on you can make it
Press on; morning's coming,
Press on.

Miracle In Me

To be there when the Savior,
Spoke with a great command;
And to witness in a wonder,
Of His wonder working hand;
No miracle has caught my eyes,
To cause my heart to see;
But by faith I'm led to realize,
There's a miracle in me.

And I have never seen the thousands fed,
Or the blind made to see;
I have never watched him raise the dead,
But I know when He lifted me;
It's a wonder right before my eyes,
Close enough to see;
In my heart is where this wonder lies,
There's a miracle in me.

If we have a faith that's measured,
By the smallest mustard seed;
All our mountains will be mastered,
By the Master of all our needs;
And if we have a child-like trust,
He said, He'll do the greatest things;
He will heal the sick, He will raise up the dead,
Be a miracle in me.

And I have never seen the thousands fed,
Or the blind made to see;
I have never watched him raise the dead,
But I know when He lifted me;
It's a wonder right before my eyes,
Close enough to see;
In my heart is where this wonder lies,
There's a miracle in me.

In my heart is where this wonder lies,
There's a miracle in me.
It's in me.

What Love

She took her hair, and dried the tears that fell upon his feet
My, how she loved her Master so
Her reputation--- less than pure, but only He could see
Her tears were for the day they'd lay Him low
Then in her hand, she held a vessel filled with sweet perfume
An exorbitant price, but she breaks the box, and its fragrance fills the room

Chorus:

What love, love that has no price
Asking nothing in return, the kind you give and don't think twice
What love, never holding one thing back
Such love that she would give the best she had,
What love

From a precious little baby, to a man of thirty-three
Down through the years, they watched Him grow
From a little town called Bethlehem, on to Calvary
Up that lonely hill, they watched Him go
What He felt inside His broken heart, God only knows
But when a hammer struck, a vessel broke, making that precious crimson flow

Chorus (omitting last line)

Tag:
What love, never holding one thing back,
Such love that we should give the best we have,
What love

Be Assured

I'm a man, flesh and blood
Of just one thing I'm sure
I was made from the dust
And to dust I will return.
But the dust aint the end
Cause in my heart I know
I'm spirit and so
To the Fathers home I go.

Chorus:
Be assured, be assured
If your trusting in the Lord
All who call on His name
Are gonna live forever more.

Oh I know, oh I know
Cause the spirit lives in me
The spirit of the son
Says a son I'll ever be.
Well I can be assured
That my home is up on high
I found it in the word
Of the one who'll never lie.

Chorus X2

If you live, if you live
In the darkness and the fear
There is love from above
He will wash away the tears.
Pouring love into you
The spirit of the son
Can flow through you
Into every one.

Heaven's Gonna Shine

I don't know exactly how sweet heaven will be (will be)
I don't know what beauty or what glory I'll see (I'll see)
I don't know what I'll behold that morning divine (I only)
I know for sure that heaven's really gonna shine

Chorus:
It's gonna shine (heaven's gonna shine)
It's gonna shine (heaven's gonna shine)
Oh yes I know (yes I truly know)
It's gonna shine (really gonna shine)
There's glory in (there is glory in)
This soul of mine (in this soul of mine)
Because I know for sure that heaven's really gonna shine

I don't know how wide will be that city so fair (so fair)
I don't even know how many saints will be there (be there)
I don't know how high will be that mansion of mine (I only)
I know for sure that heaven's really gonna shine

I'd Rather Have Jesus

  1. I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold;
    I’d rather be His than have riches untold;
    I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands;
    I’d rather be led by His nail-pierced hand
    • Refrain:
      Than to be the king of a vast domain
      And be held in sin’s dread sway;
      I’d rather have Jesus than anything
      This world affords today.
  2. I’d rather have Jesus than men’s applause;
    I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause;
    I’d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame;
    I’d rather be true to His holy name
  3. He’s fairer than lilies of rarest bloom;
    He’s sweeter than honey from out the comb;
    He’s all that my hungering spirit needs;
    I’d rather have Jesus and let Him lead
  4. I'd rather have Jesus than men's applause,
    I'd rather be faithful to His dear cause;
    I'd rather have Jesus than worldwide fame,
    I'd rather be true to His holy name.

Didn't I Walk On the Water

As I kneel in the darkness in the middle of the night
I’m praying for assurance everything’s gonna be alright
Lord I see another battle out in front of me
I’m afraid I won’t be able and I’ll go down in defeat

And He said, I walked on the water and I calmed the raging sea
I spoke to the wind, it hushed and I gave you peace
Didn't I run to your rescue didn’t I hear you when you called
I walked right beside you just so you wouldn’t fall
Didn’t I leave all of Heaven just to die for your sin
I searched until I found you and I’d do it all again

He said, do you remember where I brought you from
Just take a look behind you at how far you’ve come
And everytime you asked me, didn’t I deliver you
So why would you be thinking that I wouldn’t see you through

Now you're talking to your father in a house that was once a home
You say my bills are coming due Lord and six days is not that long
You hears a voice so still and low
It says I’ve moved like that before
And I’ll do this little thing and I’ll give you so much more

Jesus Rescues Me

Going through some many changes
What's the news for today
Somebody's hurt Somebody's aching
Somebody's trying to find a way

An heavy heart can break your will
A trouble soul keeps time standing still
If you're hurting, please don't hide
Lift up your head
I'm on your side

When every mountain seems to wide
And every river looks too wide
When my dreams are lost at sea
Jesus rescues me
My hope is strong and carries me
Though sometimes weak I still believe.
My hope is build on this desire
Through the storm and through the fire
Jesus rescues me

I know you're looking for an answer
Searching for some hope to hold
Empty hands keep you waiting
praying for a miracle

But Jesus hears every cry
He sees the mountains you can't climb
He will heal your hurting soul
And lead you safely to his home

Across The Miles

All around this world I've traveled
Through it all I've come to find
The ties that bind can come unraveled
I've had to face some lonely times
But when I'm tired and feeling low
Oh what a comfort it is to know

Across the miles there's someone praying for me
Across the miles there's someone on their knees
Lifting my name to the Lord above
In joy and pain I can feel the love
And see you smile
Across the miles

Life can be so complicated
Walking through it on your own
When kindred hearts are separated
It gives love a chance to grow
And even though I'm so far away
Oh I'm reminded every day

Across the miles there's someone praying for me
Across the miles there's someone on their knees
Lifting my name to the Lord above
In joy and pain I can feel the love
And see you smile
Across the miles

I Have Been Blessed

Verse 1:
When He moves among us all that He does
all of His mercy and all of His love
and the pen of the writer could write everyday
even this world could never contain
how I've been blessed

Verse 2:
The warmth in winter the flowers in spring
the laughter in summer and the changing of leaves
the food on my table a good place to sleep
clothes on my back and shoes on my feet
I have been blessed

Chorus:
I have been blessed God's so good to me
precious are His thoughts of you and me
no way I could count them there's not enough time
so I'll just thank Him for being so kind
God has been good so good
I have been blessed

Verse 3:
Arms that will raise a voice that can talk
hands that can touch and legs that can walk
ears that can listen eyes that can see
oh I've got to praise Him as long as I breathe
I have been blessed

Verse 4:
A father and mother who nurtured and raised
a brother and sister memories made
our pastor to lead us the altar to pray
stripes that can heal the blood that can save
I have been blessed

Chorus

Verse 5:
We live in a country the greatest on earth
our flag stands for freedom and what it is worth
she stands in the harbor Miss Liberty calls
all have gave some but some have gave all
for me to be blessed

Verse 6:
He's my shoulder to lean on when I am down
the rock where He leads me when I'm overwhelmed
the place where He hides me under His wings
He's not just a song He's the reason I sing
I have been blessed

Chorus

There Is A Fountain

  1. There is a fountain filled with blood,
    Drawn from Immanuel’s veins,
    And sinners plunged beneath that flood
    Lose all their guilty stains.
  2. The dying thief rejoiced to see
    That fountain in His day;
    And there have I, though vile as he,
    Washed all my sins away.
  3. Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
    Shall never lose its pow’r,
    Till all the ransomed church of God
    Are safe, to sin no more.
  4. E’er since by faith I saw the stream
    Thy flowing wounds supply,
    Redeeming love has been my theme,
    And shall be till I die.
  5. When this poor, lisping, stamm’ring tongue
    Lies silent in the grave,
    Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
    I’ll sing Thy pow’r to save.

On the Other Side

On the other side the sun always shines
No minutes, no hour, there's no such thing as time
Where the streets are paved with gold
And you never grow old on the other side

On the other side everybody sings
There's miles and miles of flowers and lots of pretty things
Where the sky's pearly blue and everything looks brand new
On the other side

Well I've never been to heaven
I didn't know what it was like
But God let me have a glimpse
In my dream last night

And I could see you smiling
You were looking right at me
For the first time in a long time
On your face I saw some peace

I knew everything
Was going to be all right
On the other side
On the other side

On the other side, do you ever see me cry?
Do you know how much I miss you?
Wish I could have said goodbye
Just one more I love you
Oh, am I really getting through on the other side?

Well I've never been to heaven
I didn't know what it was like
But God let me have a glimpse
In my dream last night

And I could hear you laughing
You were looking right at me
For the first time in a long time
On your face I saw some peace

I knew everything was going to be all right
No more tears and no more sad good byes
On the other side
On the other side

I'll see you on the other side
